Absolutely not.  We will not sell, barter or give your data away to

Can I link Better Money ChoicesTM to my bank or investment custodian?

 

User's privacy and security is of the utmost importance and at Better Money ChoicesTM we have chosen not to enable links to financial institutions to protect your privacy.

When forecasting outcomes over periods of 20 year or more it is more important that your data is accurate (a true reflection of your reality) than precise (the exact figures to the dollar or penny).

 

How secure is my data?

 

We take data security seriously and protect you privacy and personal information in several ways.

The only truly identifying data we collect about you is your email address. We don’t give or sell these addresses to advertisers or anyone else. We don’t collect or store users’ names, phone numbers, physical addresses, social security numbers, birth dates, driver’s license numbers, mothers’ maiden names, names of first pets, favorite foods, or any other personal information about our users.

The financial information that you enter into your profile, is only as accurate and up to date as you make.  Though the better the quality of your inputs the better our projections, we nor anyone else can tie it back to a specific financial institution let alone account number as we never ask this information.

 

Finally, just like banks do, Better Money ChoicesTM stores our data in the cloud. Your information is always backed up and secured with multiple security layers in secure data center. This is much more secure than keeping your financial information on a hard drive.

 

What regions do you cover?

 

Better Money ChoicesTM  currently includes all regions of Canada with the exception of Quebec and the Territories (all coming soon).  We would like to be there too but the rules surrounding financial advice are different there and we need to ensure full compliance before launching in Quebec.

 

Can Better Money ChoicesTM replace my financial advisor?

 

Our goal is not to replace the valuable guidance that many financial advisors provide.  Better Money ChoicesTM is there to focus your life planning on the things that really matter and on the things you are aspiring to in life, not the sale of financial products.

We do not provide specific financial guidance but rather want to empower you to ask better questions of the people who you turn to for advice.

Why does Better Money ChoicesTM cost money?

 

We have chosen a subscription-based business model to ensure that our users' financial and personal information can be kept private. Advertising-supported websites require that users give up a degree of privacy in exchange for free service. Our subscribers' data are not for sale.

 

Better Money ChoicesTM  offers 3 types of subscriptions monthly ($22.58 / month), semi-annual ($88.08 / every 6 months ~ $14.68 /month) and  annual ($121.80 / year ~ $ 10.15/ month).  Annual subscriptions come at a deep discount as our philosophy is one that dictates that planning for the future is really a continual process rather than a one time event.

 

To give you a flavour of how the platform works there is a free trial (10 days) with a random limitation on how many choice assessments a user can run.

 

How can I phone a human at Better Money ChoicesTM?

 

You can't. For security reasons, you must initiate support services via email or the online chat feature.

 

We promise to respond swiftly and can communicate by phone after initial contact, if necessary.

 

Do you have a mobile app?

 

Not yet but we are working on it.  The size of your mobile device means we need to offer you a very different experience.

Your life is big, we encourage you to engage with it on a device with a larger screen.

 

Will you be adding more features?

Are my results download able to a spreadsheet format?

 

Not at this time.  The volume of data when considering a financial picture that spans 20+ years is immense.  We want to keep you focused on the big picture.
